2013 kicked off with a stonking hangover. Girls were staying at Mum and Dad’s (I know, how lucky were we…but were we!) The joy of 24 clearance kicked in fully around 10.30pm when the landlord of the pub we were in, desperate for us to stay as we were the only people in there without a walking stick or zimmer frame *no joke*, starting plying us with shots. Disgusting shots laced with baileys that all mixed so nicely with cheap fizz, wine and tequila. Errrrrr! We left there and found a pub with more life but I didn’t last long past midnight when hubbie had to drag me home and I spent night with head down toilet…delightful!

‘The hangover’ morphed into ‘the flu’ horrible, sweaty, achy, sneezing flu. Then 3 year old got nasty norovirus which lasted the full quota of 48 hours. And that brings us to…today!
So far this year I have barely set foot outside the house and not a single drop of booze has passed my lips. A very positive thing.
This year can only get better!

What an awful start to the year, it really can only get better for you. January been a bit cold for me but mostly on the up. Thanks for asking
Oh dear. I hope that the rest of January was a little bit more on the healthier side for you all. I love the photo you’ve used, where do you find these things? My January has been primarily focused around arguments with BT but now I’m finally Internet connected with a new provider.
